In addition to the standard Jogbox that comes with most Hexagon Manufacturing Intelligence CMMs, there are several options available for operating specific machines remotely. Large bridge, gantry, and horizontal arm CMMs are well-suited for remote operation, as they sometimes require the operator to perform tasks away from a traditional computer terminal.

Hexagon Manufacturing Intelligence CMMs can be operated using three different types of remote controls, each offering different levels of functionality:

Wireless Jog Controller:
This is available as an option with most modern CMMs. It is particularly beneficial for large CMMs or situations where the CMM operator’s efficiency is impacted by Jogbox cables. The Wireless Jogbox can also perform the tasks of a regular Jogbox.

KVM Remote Unit:

This device functions as a remote keyboard, videoscreen, and mouse (KVM) at its most basic level. It offers a cost-effective way to allow the host PC of the CMM to be operated remotely. No application software is required for the system.

UNITERM 03:

This unit includes features specific to your CMM while also offering the same functionality as the KVM. Its primary feature is the dedicated keys (KEYPAD), which allow the user to directly access certain program operations.
