One of the most significant financial investments in a comprehensive quality control process is the longtail cost of labor, in addition to the initial expenses of high-quality metrology equipment. Human error is a common source of inaccuracies in quality control processes. Investing in a system that can eliminate this primary cause of errors, along with the associated financial costs, is undoubtedly worthwhile.

Our laser tracker automated inspection solutions are uniquely tailored to meet precise user specifications, encompassing everything from size and components to current and future functionalities. This level of customization ensures that our solutions perfectly align with your needs and requirements.

6DoF with the AT960

Six degrees of freedom (6DoF) measurement is a basic feature of the Leica Absolute Tracker AT960, enabling the use of a scanner, camera, or probe from up to 30 meters away. This process can be automated with the help of the Leica T-Scan 5, the Absolute Scanner AS1, the Absolute Scanner AS1-XL, and the Leica T-MAC sensors, all of which are simple to place on any common industrial robot arm. Then, all that’s needed for a completely automated inspection setup is programming and accessories, such as isolation walls, built-in control stations, robots, turntables, and tool changers for automated sensor switching.

The innovative modular design of the AS1 and AS1-XL, which enables the scanner unit to be swiftly removed for servicing in the event of scheduled maintenance, significantly increases the automation possibilities.

Direct Scanning with the ATS600

The Leica Absolute Tracker ATS600 revolutionizes automated inspection with its cutting-edge direct scanning feature. With just a few simple software commands, it swiftly brings components into its range and conducts automatic inspections without the need for a sensor or on-site operator. No more manual scanning or repositioning – just instruct the ATS600 on the area to measure and the level of detail required, then press start to unleash its unparalleled selective scanning capabilities.

What’s more, the ATS600 can be remotely operated using its Overview Camera when mounted on an Automated Guided Vehicle (AGV).
