The UK NPL created the LBI1.5 to satisfy the need for primary-level calibration of longer type Length Standards with optimal Measurement Uncertainty. Length bars and long series gauge blocks up to 1.5 meters (60″) in length are supported.

The FLaP software utilized by the GBI300 Gage Block Interferometer is also utilized by the LBI1.5.
