The handheld 3D scanners from Hexagon have three measurement modes that are designed for specific applications. The standard mode uses one blue laser line along with 22 blue laser lines to cover wide areas. The fine mode uses five parallel blue laser lines to provide high-resolution information on small details.
In hard-to-reach areas, the line mode scans with a single laser line. These scanners can maintain precise measurements within a single coordinate system even when the part is moved freely, on a turntable, or by hand, eliminating the need for labor-intensive part fixturing.
Additionally, the MARVELSCAN’s integrated camera provides photogrammetry capabilities, allowing examination without the need for targets on the measuring object.
The MARVELSCAN’s integrated camera, when used with conventional photogrammetry targets, enhances its capabilities as a stand-alone photogrammetry system. This enables improved scanning accuracy for medium-to-large part sizes.
Hexagon’s handheld 3D scanner line is the first on the market to offer true wireless measurement. It allows the addition of a Wireless Scanning Module, providing real mobility by connecting the scanner to a small belt pack housing power supply and networking technology.
This offers increased productivity for capturing multiple circular hole or slotted features simultaneously, thanks to the Hole Flash Capture technology, which is widely used across several industries.
